چکیده

Inspired by Pythagoras’s belief that numbers represent the reality, we study the topological properties of networks of composite numbers, in which the vertices represent the numbers and two vertices are connected if and only if there exists a divisibility relation between them. The network has a fairly large clustering coefficient C 0:34, which is insensitive to the size of the network. The average distance between two nodes is shown to have an upper bound that is independent of the size of the network, in contrast to the behavior in small-world and ultra-small-world networks. The out-degree distribution is shown to follow a power-law behavior of the form k . In addition, these networks possess hierarchical structure as CðkÞ k 1 in accord with the observations of many real-life networks. r 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Analysis of Resting-State fMRI Topological Graph Theory Properties in Methamphetamine Drug Users Applying Box-Counting Fractal Dimension

Introduction: Graph theoretical analysis of functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) data has provided new measures of mapping human brain in vivo. Of all methods to measure the functional connectivity between regions, Linear Correlation (LC) calculation of activity time series of the brain regions as a linear measure is considered the most ubiquitous one. The strength of the dependence obl...

A mathematical model for designing optimal urban gas networks, an ant colony algorithm and a case study

Considering the high costs of the implementation and maintenance of gas distribution networks in urban areas, optimal design of such networks is vital. Today, urban gas networks are implemented within a tree structure. These networks receive gas from City Gate Stations (CGS) and deliver it to the consumers. This study presents a comprehensive model based on Mixed Integer Nonlinear Programming (...

Sampling from social networks’s graph based on topological properties and bee colony algorithm

In recent years, the sampling problem in massive graphs of social networks has attracted much attention for fast analyzing a small and good sample instead of a huge network. Many algorithms have been proposed for sampling of social network’ graph. The purpose of these algorithms is to create a sample that is approximately similar to the original network’s graph in terms of properties such as de...

Calculating the Price of Anarchy for Network Formation Games

There has been recent interest in showing that real networks, designed via optimization [7], may possess topological properties similar to those investigated by the Network Science community [2], [17], [6], [1]. This suggests that the Network Science community’s view that topological properties such as scale-freeness are not the result of some immutable physical laws, but in fact intentional op...

Multihoming in Computer Networks: A Topology-Design Approach

Multihoming in networks, i.e., attaching a subscriber to more than a single access point in the network, is a mechanism used to increase several performance criteria. In this paper we take the topological design view and address the problem of finding optimal multihoming configurations for several topological design criteria. We analyze the problem and demonstrate that except for dual homing, m...
